They hope to fly back with the players on Wednesday. But it looks like they will have to wait until Thursday to finalise details and sign contracts.
However, Fabrizio Romano reports that the two clubs have reached an agreement. With a fixed fee of €30.5m plus €6m in bonuses. While Girona will receive a 10 per cent cut of any future sales.
Gianluca Di Marzio from Sky Sport Italia also gave the same details. But the price difference is 33 million euros plus bonuses and a 10 percent share.
At first, Girona appeared to have agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid, but the deal fell through as the Ukrainian international was keen on joining Roma.
The 27-year-old forward scored 24 goals and provided eight assists in 36 La Liga appearances last season, also finishing as the league’s top scorer.
Dovbyk also competed in Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 with his national team of Ukraine. With the decisive goal he scored on 29 June 2021 in the round of 16 against Sweden, Artem took his country to the quarter-finals of the biggest international competition in Europe. That same goal, which came in additional time after 120 minutes and 37 seconds is the second latest goal ever scored at the Euros after that of Semih Senturk in 2008
