Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has hit out at club co-owner Ineos after Sir Alex Ferguson was sacked from his big-money ambassador role.

Ferguson is the most successful manager in Premier League history and United have shaped an era in English football.

The Scottish manager left the club after 27 years in charge in 2013, having led them to their final league title, which remains the Red Devils’ most recent league title.

However, it was reveal on Tuesday that co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe had informed Ferguson that he would no longer be a permanent employee at Old Trafford after the end of the season.

The decision has left many United legends unhappy, most of whom still hold great respect for their former boss, and Cantona was no different, taking to Instagram to slam the controversial decision.

“Sir Alex Ferguson should be able to do whatever he wants at the club until the day he takes his last breath. This is disrespectful,” he wrote on Instagram.

“It’s a complete scandal. Sir Alex Ferguson will สมัคร ufabet always be my boss! And I’ll throw them in a big shit bag!”

Ferguson, 83, will retain a role as a non-executive director at Old Trafford amid what The Ufabet understands were amicable talks between club officials and the legendary former manager.

United are currently in 14th place after finishing a worst-ever eighth in the Premier League last season, despite spending just over £200m on players in the close season.

They have splashed out about £600m on new players since their under-fire Dutch manager Erik ten Hag took charge ahead of the 2022-23 season.
